If it has instructions, that doesn't mean it's not complicated anymore.

Ok it's fine when it's complicated for you but I am sure there are novice player who want a challange and play parts where you need brain and I think ddnet need maps like this to show new players that ddrace is more than always hook drag parts.

It's not about brain or challenge, this map is just confusing.

When it's confusing to follow the hints, text messages, signs then call it confusing... it looks like you just want to complain about something

If novice players want a challenge and try parts that require advanced knowledge, they can play moderate maps

replace the "can" with an "have to" because there aren't novice maps that challenge you like this and I just want to change this. Don't understand me wrong, there are hard and challenging novice maps but the challenge there is "to survive". In my map the challenge is more like "can you do it?"

Shishigami wrote: Sun Jun 03, 2018 8:14 pm I like that you have to use brain to solve the parts
I know that not everyone likes those types of maps, but I don't think its a bad thing to have a greater variety of maps. I think some players would enjoy this type of gameplay as well
Like shishigami said you don't have to like those type of map, but other do it.

I don't think you understand, confusing map does not mean 'brain map', rather a poorly mapped one.

I don't understand how a novice player is supposed to pass the first part or the map in general. It is cool that you want to create some kind of "puzzle map" for lower skilled players, but firstly it shouldn't be unbalanced and secondly it doesn't make sense if you need to explain every part, because you use techniques, which a novice player can't know about. If you explain everything it doesn't need brain anymore. So maybe aiming for ~Mod 1* would make more sense.

On the other hand I have to say that this map in general can't keep up with today's standards, such as e.g. tight passages or the design.

Ravie:
Have you ever tested this map with an novice player? I think you underrate them.

hi_leute_gll:
Yes the first part is indeed to hard, I will change it in the next version. Please add screenshots with the unbalanced parts. I like my designs clear maybe that's the reason why sometimes people come to me and say "Simple World 1-3 are one of the less maps you can play without design".

You talk about the standart to have an best friend like jao who release your map doesn't matter how bad it is. Then yes I don't have this standart.
We shouldn't start this discussion here...

So guys would be nice when you just show me the parts with screenshots you complain about like you should do as tester instead of saying "shit map" when you don't want to help me making it better then you should stop talking here. It helps nobody when you just keep saying "bad map".
