I agree with not releasing bad maps, but not every map must add something new to ddnet, it can be similar parts to other maps, as long as they are not copied. If it's just the same idea, i like it to have more maps with it. YOu can't always come up with something new

maggi, if a map contains known parts but also a new interpretation of these, then a map can possibly add something new to DDNet. So I don't think this is contradicting.

Those discussions are so useless, it allways ends in flame and hate and nothing changes.
Texters do a good job, if u want to release more maps test on ur own, pick up a ddnet tester and test with him.
Often maps dont get tested by a tester because its not doable with dummy and they dont have a Partner.
But releasing bad maps just to have more maps is just a bad idea.
We will not run out of maps. Also there are still many very nice oldschoolmaps, some of them are already and other will be released in the next time.

ddnet dont have enough ddnet tester what is really do their jobs harder and harder and the maps comes more faster and faster which is... bad or good anyways. (i think that's why testers dont test yet my last map...)
3 choises:
-More testers (which is good enough)
-Counting maps (how many maps could be postable)
-Give up already. (not recommended)
