Antiping

Post by BadPinger »

Im From Florida So I get a lot of lags and stuff and in Teeworlds Most of the Popular Servers are Hosted in France Or Germany so basicly on every server I have like a 150 ping D: and I like How u guys Made a new antiping Better then Teesurf I don't like How in Teesurf Its Just creates a Visual Shadow of a Tee to aim at But DDnet made it so the actually player gets antipinged and No shadow involved But the problem Is That its Buggy like Tee's are Teleporting Everywhere and I hope you guys can Fix this

Unfortunately nothing can be done about that. If we make the prediction less jerky, then instead it gets less accurate. When you try to predict the movement of another player and suddenly he makes a move, of course the prediction will be wrong. The common solution for this is to have a bind to toggle antiping and only use it when you need it (e.g. your partner is frozen):
bind x toggle cl_antiping 0 1

An even better solution would be to find more American players and get them all to play on the USA server!

Is it possible to predict the own dummy. The client should "know" the movement of the dummy. And I guess its helpful to predict the dummy. Only the dummy.
