Hello everyone, I am here today to present you a new section of the website!

The Hall of Fame section will open shortly and we need you!
You want to show your skill to everyone and appear in a video?
Then, if you match these conditions:

• You have the first rank in /top5 or in /top5teams
• The map has been released for at least 2 weeks
• There are more than a few finishes

You can then go to http://ddnet.tw/halloffame/upload/ and upload your demo!
Please rename your demo like this : "Name_Of_The_Map_Nickname_xx-xx.demo".
We will make a video of it and publish it on YouTube, then you'll be featured in the Hall of Fame!

Just put a Demo-download-button next to the first rank of a map.
I dont care if ppl accept it or not.
At the end they will still play here.
Then u dont need this YouTube Channel with 20/600 Maps.

We could just add a .demo download link next to the rank.
Oh, and then we could upload only a few really good and outstanding replays with some additional editing (like sometimes slow motion etc - ofc not over-edited like some youtube videos) on the DDnet youtube channel?

@EryX & Index: Actually that's what laxa wanted initially. I had a discussion with some pros about this back when DDNet started and it was decided then that some players don't want their chats inside the demos on the website, which is why we don't have that.

Y sure.
They have time to discuss important things while speedrunning.

Cant be so hard to chat after speedrunning a map.
With top1 demos you could see if they cheated or not, and it would help other players.

On maps which take longer than 25 mins i would ask top1 players if they want to show their demo.
There you have more time, because parts take longer.

Idea:
- add all solo demos
- add all demos which take less than 25mins


Is there no possibility to hide chat on demo?

So, like ddmax had it, which noone used?
The proper way to do it would be to have the servers automatically record demos, without the chat, and then putting them all online. That's a lot of work and our servers are probably too weak for that, so I'm not willing to try it.
