I refreshed servers, and that happened:

DDnet GER went down for a min or 2 i saw no ger servers were there and im like "go to forums and look at chaos"

I have the same problem pretty often the last days, but ddnet.tw/stats is saying the servers are online and people are playing on it.
It is also just GER which is missing, all others work. Pinging it via console is neither a problem, so the servers are definitely online and give a response.
(Connecting via in-game console doesn't work as well.)

If I ask other players then some also say that they can't see the servers, but as said they are definitely online. Also the problem doesn't seem to be on the user's side, since this problem occurs to many people from different countrys with different providers.

The problem is that the DDoS attacks take down the server using spoofed IP addresses. Then the DDoS protection blocks the spoofed IP addresses and now real players can't play.

probably the people ddosing are using ping requests to attack the server so your host is filtering out all ping requests i may be wrong though
