Yeah, DDNet is so popular that I think Teeworlds should be renamed to DDrace.

The only reason why DDNet is popular is because there's constantly new material. There's 0 movement in vanilla Teeworlds. Just take a look at teeworlds.com. There's outdated information, information before I even started playing Teeworlds. It's still not a version 1, per se, filled with bugs, etc. I've said this way too many times in length, so I won't repeat it.

People voted against DDNet being another Steam game because people said that it will split the popularity between Teeworlds and DDNet. That's such a silly idea. If anything, DDNet should be up on Steam, not Teeworlds. It's horrible that Steam was based on votes. It should be decided by few people, not by a non-existent community like teeworlds.com.

From what deen told me, DDNet is the gamemode itself, it changed so much from original DDRace that now it's a "new" gamemode, also makes no sense renaming it to DDRace, since this is a "network" with servers on the "whole" world.

DDNet is actualy accepted on steam greenlight: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =506147661

But deen and more people doesn't feel like DDNet is prepared to handle a huge amount of new people, basically because tutorials and maybe servers getting DDoSed all day long.

If new people complained that Teeworlds doesn't have tutorial and it's hard, you can't imagine what they will say about DDNet.

Also DDNet is more popular than Teeworlds itself i would say :P

We're already getting DoSed all day long, so not much would change. :P Look at the Teeworlds reviews on Steam, newcomers don't know how to get started. In DDNet it would be much worse.

DDOS shouldn't hinder its progress. Getting DDOSd or not would not change the inflow of new and old players much. Either way, if there is a problem, the community's big enough to go around the problem.

I didn't know that it was greenlit on Steam. So there's no plan on publishing it on Steam? I hope it becomes published.
[mod=Index]Maybe I write more here in the next few days, but let me just say: Hope it will never get published in steam :o
(And yea, I might be the only one with that opinion and sry for just writing this as a sidenote)[/mod]

Index, why didn't you just write your own post...?

Why would you not want to get it published on Steam?

i think cause ddosers... that would bring them to us more easily. this is a free-to-play game... no anticheat, no vacbans, no steam profile block in case of cheating... it wouldnt change much more as now... it would make the game much more ddosed...

I think people are over reacting about the income of new player with ddnet on steam ... if you fear the ddos I believe it cant get any worse than today. And more player doesn't kill a game, he make it live longuer. But maybe u want to build a wall or something ?
