Dunno about any number on left, but that one in top right corner is FPS counter (F1 -> cl_showfps 1)

I'm also still using the 9.1 because it updates but on restart it's still 9.1 and i'm lazy to re-download, i suppose gdin also xD.

I'm 1. lazy and 2. scared that updating will mess up/break my configs (as it has done before)

Since the newest version breaks the rcon in different combinations of client- and server-versions it is not usable anyway for many people.
Just would suggest to stay at 9.02 or 9.1 (If you want to have the eye-wheel).

(Configs aren't a problem, just backup them.)
