Do u know why this time is away ?
I think bcs too many maps that have been released in a short time and then all got a "points rush" and everyone just tried to collect points and dont played a map over and over again .
+1
the reason nobody speeds is cause there's a hundred billion maps

And isn't that good? that we have lot's of maps? That means that community is growing.

Also i continue with the opinion that, if you want to speedrun you will do it.

I can't find the logic in your comments

Right now the suggestions would destroy something. merging points would fuck them up showing the rank/team rank points on a server might confuse, since the rank is kinda random for most of the players. do you want to have these information, if you write /rank, so you can show others how good you are at speedrunning? is that the way you want to make speedrunning popular?

@Novo: If you want to be one of the best speedrunners, don't farm the points (you did it by speedrunning many moderate maps, but you didn't put that much time in each of them). Try to beat other speedrunners (e.g. Virus2k and aaa) to show your skills. Everybody can make tons of average speedruns, focus on one and beat the time of others!

If we want to push speedrunning, we should make some speedrun tournaments, instead of changing the unbalanced speedrun-points.

I didnt farm the points we want to speedrun allĀ  good maps (a-z)
Habibi is sometimes lazy if he already have a rank 1 :D

And we already beat some times of aaa and virus2k but trying to beat all of this rank mostly annoying this are maps which i or habibi dont like :D ofc we often finish maps with bad time until someone beat us :D

Once I become a better player and I find a partner that wants to spend many hours with me speedrunning, I will try to speedrun brutal maps. I'm looking forward to that.

But still, don't change the point system :p it's fine.

Let me descripe the story of some mappers

They think: "I NEED MY OWN MAP ON DDNET.. NOW"

Step 1: They watch tutorials and get the basics
Step 2: They start to map some random stuff
Step 3: After they created a boring and buggy map they want it to be tested
Step 4: 10 mins after uploading the map: WHEN WILL SOMEONE TEST MY MAP
Step 5: Map instantly gets rejected and archived
Step 6: I NEED MY OWN MAP ON DDNET.. NOW
Step 7: They start to map again. And create a boring map one more time
Step 8: They upload a new map within 2 days and claim that it's a lot better
Step 9: Map gets archived
Step 10: After repeating step 6-9 several times they finally create something that doesn't suck 100%
Step 11: What the testers think: Map still bad
Step 12: What the testers say: Map is better than older ones. With some changes it can be released
Step 13: Map finally get's released
Step 14: OMG I HAVE MY OWN MAP ON DDNET LOOK HOW AWESOME I AM
Step 15: Uploads more maps to increase awesomeness
Step 16: What the testers think: Dude, stop mapping such ****. There are enough maps to be tested
Step 17: What the testers say: This map isn't as good as your 1st map was. Better try something new
Step 18: 20 hours later: Here my brand new map. It's really good!
Step 19: What the testers think: Not this guy again
Step 20: What the testers say: You need to put more love in your maps. Your latest maps are really boring and buggy.
Step 21: Map gets archived
Step 22: After repeating step 15-21 several times they finally create something that doesn't suck 100%
Step 23: What the testers think: This guy is god damn annoying omg where is my gun
Step 24: What the testers say: This map is better than older ones. We might release it.
Step 25: Map gets released
Step 26: Step 15-25 repeat infinitely

Result: 1000 maps of which ~25% are fun to play (for the first time) and "100" maps in testing section
