Re: Using deep fly to cut dummy maps
I guess there is a bug or so in it.
If i watch dinner's vid the dummy is hitting him everytime, but my only every snd time.
The bind is that the hammer is getting toggled on and off, but somehow it looks like for some people it turns off after the hit and for others before the hit.
Only theory for the moment, but i guess there could be a trick in it.
Novo, imo the dummys are useless anyway, since this is a game about teamplay.
And blocking complicated binds could block also other useful binds wich haven't a direct effect on the gameplay.

Re: Using deep fly to cut dummy maps
At example... i have same problem! deep fly doesn't work for me!!
Re: Using deep fly to cut dummy maps
It's pretty much too late now. The least we could still do would be to make deep fly possible for everyone using some server-side hacks but I'm totally against that.
I totally agree.hi_leute_gll wrote: Novo, imo the dummys are useless anyway, since this is a game about teamplay.

Re: Using deep fly to cut dummy maps
hi_leute I do have the same problem using the dummy to deep fly on an official server. But if I try to play on a local server there are no problems. So I don't think your theory is right. But you should try it on your own local server.

Yeah, it was wrong. I tried it a bit out:kamillentee wrote:hi_leute I do have the same problem using the dummy to deep fly on an official server. But if I try to play on a local server there are no problems. So I don't think your theory is right. But you should try it on your own local server.
On the LAN it works easily, on the server only when my ping is very stable, if it is jumping a bit my dummy can miss hammers as it does in the normal hf.
But i have to say that i also have problems to do a double nade if i lag a bit, in such a ping sensitive game it is just bad luck to have an unstable connection.
The main problem i see is the combination of the dummy feature and the bind "+toggle".
Except that people can fastly make a typo, missing the "+" and wonder why it won't work, it allows you to say the dummy to hammer and turn it off directly after it. So you can say him when exactly he shall hammer and synchronize it with your hammer, on the one side it sounds nice, on the other side you can do something with your dummy for what 2 humans would need weeks and months of practice, so this dummy makes stuff wich aren't doable for most humans.
Let the dummy get skills wich are greater than the one of human players is a really wrong happening, imo.
Dunno if it is possible to cut that skill via code, would be lovely.
(A bit similar to that with dummy_copy_moves it was possible to cut the old startline in Skychase.)

Re: Using deep fly to cut dummy maps
It is, but in other maps you have to search always a spot where only dummy goes, there you can put your hammer off. If someone want to do the work go on ^^
