here you have a volunteer (me) but there is no post to say that you want to help testing.. i think If "we" (ddnet) create a post where you can apply maybe you will see more people that wants to help (?)

The problem isn't the amount of testers, it is very easy to get some and to get them on the test servers...
But if there isn't anyone who take care about that, it doesn't work.

Yes its a game, but if you run a server,guild (in other games) then you must invest much time, that you also could use for other things.
That time investment exist not only for a serverhoster, also for the people who helps them.
I think, ddnet is a littlebit like a company, you have a Hoster, Tester, (i would also count the mapper to the company, cause if they aren't here... then you have a leak of maps) and a Company need good worker, to be a good company. I also would say, that discussions like this are normal and important for the process of this community.
Playing teewords isn't work (you'r right Ryozuki) Run DDNet is work!

Some of the people here should really think about this post, cause stuff like this:

It's supposed to be like this: "You join" - "You play" - "You enjoy it".

doesn't work so easy. Ofc for the most people it is like that and that is totally okay, but you don't get several servers with 800 maps just due clicking on the DDNet.exe. As well as you need guys who pay the servers and develop the game/mod you also need people who create the maps and test them. And often this is work. But we like to do that work to make it possible that over 1000 players around the world can play on the DDNet servers every day.

But atm it isn't so easy to do that work cause in the last days and weeks this work was trampled by deen.
