DDnet client

Post by Bossk »

I was moving from ddnet client to zclient because it has ddnet features too but is not lagging when using antiping.
Somehow it's the only client where with antiping on, movements of my dummy and other non moving targets i drag are smooth.

I want to switch back to ddnet but it's annoying. On the matter of facts it can't be my internet connection.
Somebody else the same problem/experiencing instable dragging with antiping?

I guess they improved antiping then. Too bad they don't give back their code.

Why do you even play with antiping, is your ping that high?

Edit: Ah wait, how old is the version of zClient you run? It should be better if I release a new version of DDNet.

zClient has this autoupdate thing too, it's not often updating (maybe 3 weeks to 1 month ago since last update?!)
Should be newest zClient version then.

My ping is around 60 and without antiping you have to hook like a half second earlier and not where the tee actually is.
Depending on speed you always misshook and u can't hold him in the air too because it's so delayed --> no fun! antiping for the win :)

That means they steal our work even before we release it, interesting. east discovered that zClient has a backdoor to control the clients btw.

Do you compile it yourself? Is that linux compatibility? Does vanilla client work?
