Re: [NOVICE]GreenAde - First map ever.
Thx for your... umm... verdict, maggi. I told it is my "first map ever" and now I see, how much should I learn in future.
Next time I'll use my tileset, I'm actually working on, there will be more challenging parts.
And why it is that easy - I am definitely not DDRace player, I've just got inspirated to try mapmaking by my friend Savander.
Let the story begin.

zio, easy is not a bad thing, it's good for beginners! and for you first map it's not that bad, okay gameplay is boring but if you would do more creative parts they would automaticly get more difficult ^-^ and idk if you read my last version of the screenshot post, i added some text

Light gray tiles were for bigger areas and "walkthrough" parts, and dark gray tiles were simply for edges.maggi323 wrote:You switched between two grey tiles for the freeze, some freeze is light and other freeze tiles are darker, maybe make them all the same freeze tile?
There is more like "grenade only" way. But yes, you can also use hammerfly. But does it really matter, how are you going to go through that part?maggi323 wrote:

This map is perfect for newbies!
Yes, you can see that this is your first map, but that's not the problem. Mapping isn't that hard, it just needs some time to learn everything.
You know how quad layers are working?

Re: [NOVICE]GreenAde - First map ever.
Basically quads are easy to use:
If you do shift+click you can mark the red dots. Then you can move the image in the quads. It's hard to explain and not very well usable for a beginner.
You should concentrate on basics, i think. If the map itself is ready and fine we can take a look to the quads. If you want to we can do it for you or explain it then.
- Just create it like a tile layer (but click on quad layer) and choose an image.
- At top right you can click on "new quad". Then the image will appear in your map
- Drag green dot to move it. Right click on it for more options.
- Drag red dots to change size of a quad.
- Use Grid for precicious work.

Your frst screenshot - it had to be one-way-hooked.Themix wrote:I tested this map, found some bugs.
