so Jao(the guy in charge of Map release's) moved new map testing to Discord: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6544
so expect this forum to be depreciated in that regard. thats one more account to add to my list, i think Discord is over used, but thats just me.

there are some interesting changes to the code, like...
Fix unwanted dummy fire: https://github.com/ddnet/ddnet/pull/1134 (seems to fix a bug i used) EDIT: so i finally decided to try this before & after & this does not fix a bug i used, & CHillerDragon is right, i really don't what it!
Add commands for switching pages in console: https://github.com/ddnet/ddnet/commit/8 ... efaafdb704 (seems cool)
fix 20 min veto bug: https://github.com/ddnet/ddnet/pull/1151 (finally)
thats the only ones i saw that i think are worth your time.

it's been 24 days sense my last post here, & it's good to be back! this time we have a new Game-play Mechanic introduced: Teleportaion Weapons, not as cool as PPrace(Valves Portal style) though, but still pretty cool.
& then there is the release of 11.3, there is a unmentioned change you might want to know about.
  • added cl_nameplates_own "Show own name plate (useful for demo recording)", it's cool, but turning on prediction makes your name lag behind you, so fix this implementation so we can use it please.
  • also the added teleportation gun/grenade/laser , the code has been modified sense that one though.
thats all, got every thing up to Aug 3, 2018, not much to talk about, mostly back round improvements. also please make it so we can link to specific releases on the Download page, like :https://ddnet.tw/downloads/DDNet-11.3 , that would be great!

so umm ya, it's only when prediction is on that there is an issue, not "fix cl_show_nameplates_own with antiping off ingame" thats just wrong.

Well Sep 30, 2018 brought us DDnet Version 11.4.4 , with a lot of back-round(under the hood) changes, but your not here to read about those, because thats Boring!

so here are some things a feel are with mentioning...

ok i don't even understand half of whats going on, but if i had to come up with one word to describe it: boring. just read the Changelog. i think they tried to fix going though those laser doors/stoppers then reverted it.

i have as of about 3~6 months ago seen a bunch of servers that supposedly have players but are empty(info tab shows there connecting) come up, this filter for "(connecting)" players stops that :) but is this not abuse that should get servers banned the the list?

You misunderstand, the servers are not doing that intentionally. An attacker is spoofing IPs to simulate unfinished connection attempts thus clogging the server and making it unusable. TW 0.6.5 fixes that.

Sorry i didn't do my research, should have looked into Vanilla TW first, & well i did & have many questions about DDnets future now, but i will keep then to a minimum.

will DDnet be getting the new 0.7.0 look & layout?

& the new Skin customization features?

i know that others will ask as well, so maybe a Dev blog post or Q&A would be helpful, so at least to consolidate discussion.
