Playing DDNet/Teeworlds is fun
Hey.
Yesterday we had a 3-hour super journey "Back in the days 2".
This is new Silex' brutal map. I was in the team with about 25 tees playing this map. IT WAS SO HARD! Actually no, It wasn't. Though we were close to fail some times.
But I don't remember the day I had so much fun playing in a big group! I was literally teleported back in the days! Thank you all guys! You were a good team. For this brutal map for sure!
PS =645654= and Sony are the craziest tees of this run
By the way. Here you can share your thoughts about why playing DDNet/Teeworlds is fun for you presently?
I play this game for 10 years and still don't understand why is it so attractive??

Yeah, it was really awesome with a huge team you can just finish everything.

That's why i like genericore a lot

That's why people love back in the days. Released since 2 weeks and still full servers already say enough about that people enjoy playing maps like this very much. Even people who finished in the first days and got their points still play it even in team 0. That's imo great.

Yep, thats the run where I got killed by Mithrandir right before the finish. But it was fun and nice run tho

Things that ruin my fun on DDRace:
- Failing
- Edgehooks
I used enjoy spending a few hours playing long, simple, semi-faily maps in huge teams, but after failing too many times (or wasting too many hours), I started getting bored with the repetitive simple parts that seemed to consist completely of hammerhit, hammerfly, and simple drags.
At the end of the spectrum, even new maps that seemed to consist 90% of long-winded drag parts began to stop feeling unique. Not that these parts were just stolen from other maps—it just seemed like they were "new" rearrangements of already existing drag techniques.
But recently, I had a lot of fun finishing Everdeen by Themix (also Tricktee by Welf). Almost all of the parts felt fresh, and a few of them really required some thought to complete. I know that a lot of people don't like having to stop at every part to figure out how to do it, so I guess I can understand why maps that seem of mediocre quality to me (Genericores, Back in the Days) are considered really good for others.
In any case, I have noticed that DDRace is the most fun after you take a long break from it.
