Antiping feels really off in newer versions of DDnet

Post by camo »

It seems to jump around much more than before, even on low ping (I'm generally about 100 ping and notice this).

Several other players mentioned they notice this too, when I said something about antiping feeling weird in a game, but I can't remember specific names.

Perhaps reverting to older versions of antiping would be nice

The last change to antiping, other than the auto-enabling antiping based on a ping, was over 2 months ago. Is that what you're talking about? Can you tell me which client version has better antiping for you? Or is it maybe just that your pred time increased (ctrl-shift-d)?

Sorry, I thought I responded to this earlier.

Broken mentioned he thinks it may be US ddnet lag lately. I will post again if it persists. Also, the auto-enabled settings look the same as I had them before I think.
