Client Lag

Post by Kenji »

Hi,

about 1,5 months ago i deleted ddnet Client from my computer. Now i have reinstalled it and i am experiencing some kind of client intern lag, meaning even when im not joining a server but just browsing the list my mouse movements are delayed. This also applies for clicking and also for the loading bar when starting the client.
Plus whenever i close the client, the "DDnet.exe has stopped working" window pops up.
I have the same problems with the original teeworlds client as well.

I tried:
- restarting pc
- deleting and reinstalling client
- running on administrator mode
- reducing all graphical options to minimum (this helps actually, but still bad)
- older client versions (both ddnet and normal teeworlds client)
- deleting the complete teeworlds folder in the AppData/Roaming path and letting the client rebuild it
- running ccleaner (including registry errors)

If someone has an idea of how to fix this problem, i'd be grateful for help.

@Soreu,

Maybe your laptop overheats. F1, cl_cpu_throttle 1 (or higher)

Hm, didnt help. And even with the client running all other programs keep working normally. My mouse works fine again as soon as i switch focus to any other program whithout closing the ddnet client.

Btw, i checked and DDnet uses roughly 25% CPU like always.

Thanks for your suggestions kamillentee.
By vanilla client you mean the normal teeworlds client from teeworlds.com?!

I already tried both solutions, sadly none of them worked.
