OVH Server Hosting

i'm trying to host ddnet's server on my ovh vps but i get a master server not found. do you have any idea what that could mean? i have added it to my firewall and allowed it for public networks and private networks.

You could try disabling the firewall and see if it works then. DDNet was hosted on OVH servers some times in the past and always worked.

os is windows server 2012 r2 standard

My best guess would be that the firewall is enabled and not properly configured.
And I think you should use linux.
