It's known, unfortuantely we have to wait for a developer to fix this exploit. Just be careful, what you type :>

I saw this guy, he ask people to check his points, and its a strange request, so check the name of the tee before do that.
Also there might be a notification in client about sigh ";' in tees nicks

Server notifications (as random message from the server) would be a temporary solution as well.
We could also write about it in the news tab of the client, but I'm afraid Lady Saavik currently has no time to update it.
So best solution still is to be careful about what you type and think before it. Asking for checking points surely is strange!
Nevertheless, sry again for the stupid kill, it defintely sucks :'((

I don't know what the best way to prevent this is. People were not happy about forbidding / in names, so I guess ; will also not make them happy. The client could autocomplete names with ; to "foo;bar", but that's also not great and only works in DDNet client. We could remove ; functionality, but then people can't run multiple server chat commands in one bind anymore.

maybe check if the user input is another users name and if so handle the input as name and not as command

Removing the functionality completely would be awful, almost my whole binds rely on that function lel
Forbidding the names surely will upset a few people, but there are far less people with ; at the beginnging than with /, or am i wrong? :o
So, I'm for simply forbidding the names, although it's not the best solution and :Ram's way sounds reasonable as well.

I think best solution is forbid ";" in names and other special characters, its pure exploit if we have command /points
And please make some message about it, I saw at least 3 deaths for a few hours with this bug.
