Staff for South African FNG and zCatch servers.

I love FNG and zCatch but it grinds my gears when players kick eachother, especially me, for 'bot'. They think they know everything and try to rat you out saying you using this and that client to make themselves look smart, yet they absolutely naive and deserve to be banned.

Is it possible to make those with DDNet client unkickable to prove they don't bot?? Or appoint staff to these servers as there is no one to help!

Some people have the status of botting before, so that's a solid reason for someone to kick you if you are playing "good" ..
When mistakes like botting on an official server are made, it's hard to be forgotten..
There are not really any reasons for staff to be on vanilla/shooting servers.

True, but still doesn't give a reason to kick someone who isn't botting. It's funny when there are botters and they are not kicked.

Currently it is impossible to verify if you use an unmodifyed DDNet-Client.

Not just currently, that's absolutely impossible forever. And even if it was possible, you can still run a botting program with an unmodified DDNet client.

That reminds me on things like DRM or PunkBuster. It makes the software way more bad and is ineffective.

Then you either have to appoint staff for the servers or remove the power to kick, but then ofcourse you can't kick the real botters.

Also, apparently there is a client that is able to tell you what client other people are using, people 'use' this client and point out who is botting and who isn't.

You can add a botdetecor. In the time iCTF was more played. TeeTime added on his Saveserver a botdetecor. This botdetecor detected you after shooting in the exactly middle of the tee. This detector wasnt the savest because you can shoot also sometimes in the middle of the tee. Maybe one of you guys can just change this detector so that he kicks the player after shooting twice times in a row in the exactly middle of the tee. And add this to the server.

I dont know how much bots can do now or if they can shot on tees without scoping on the middle of the tee

No bot detection should be trusted. Detection can be only taken as a sign for mods to give a closer look to a detected player. That's why bot detection, which is already included in zCatch/TeeVi, is only shown to mods.
