I actually found about Teeworlds from an ios game called "Dinosmash Online" that was discontinued due to its lack of popularity. Out of curiosity, I checked out the reviews for the game a few years later and found a comment saying that it was a rip-off of a game called Teeworlds. I noticed when Teewars became available for the first time in Gentoo Linux about 10 years ago, so I tried it out, since there were not many Linux games I could play with my 20 € GPU back then.

I was downloading an other game called "maplestory",
while waiting for it to finish, I searched for a small quick game to play and found teeworlds somewhere on the web.


Well, I ended up playin Teeworlds the whole time and later deinstalled maplestory
