can we maybe have two versions of overlay entities? Some option in settings to switch between them ?

Considering that we only add new entities very rarely I think changing the graphics manually is good enough.

People usually to lazy to figure out how to change entities, find somebody to ask for a picture, replace it, taking care about next updates
It is much easily just to install alternative client instead

I`d like to see a poll of how many people playing with overlay entities most of time

The dots are very helpfull for playing in entities, i like to see the borders of a single tile, especially when u have to fall exactly at a tile you can better see it.

Me also 99% of time ("Entities off" entity tooks 1%)

There is my final thought about this:

I believe a lot of players dont want to suffer from parrot/ambiguous graphics. Ambiguous at least untill you test every graphic tile(if no design issues here). What is fun not for everyone.

Overlay entities - beautiful solution for many of us. It allows have unique design for every ddnet map. But it is not looks like it is designed to play.

So I believe it is very true direction of DDNet client evolution now
