Actually DDrace is also a rather chilled game where people are used to be often afk and so. I think there are just different map styles which can result in great maps.

I think NFs are total BS. There are many NFs that are plain annoyance having more luck than skill involved and at some point being totally irrelevant to DDrace as well. A map should start with normal, easy parts (appropriate to the servers difficulty ofc) that can be done by the majority. Instead we get tons of maps with useless annoying first parts resulting in endless blocking and stupid votes and revenge votes. This especially refers to brutal maps having tons of edge hooks in the first part or moderate maps having no CPs but a 1 minute long drag part. Even if you make a NF a bunch of players will end up blocking themselves after they passed it...

I agree, but let make a choice to players? If player wants stand and chill,he able to do it on any map. But if player wants action only few maps can give it to player. Its unfair. Isnt it?
Btw any player can chill aswell at Naufrage. For 20 hours. :D

Small noobfilters are useful, like on Genericore. Long noobfilters suck and the mapper hurts himself because many players won't even try their map.

If you have a challenging and nice solo part, add it later on in the map and players who reach it will try until they make it.

I usually don't do hard filters or solo parts in middle of map, because I map for brutal, not for solo
