See deen, set the default image just as a grey square or something. then it is simple by default and if some aoe or whatever comes across he/she/it can change it by theirselfs to another image, so they can add a custom background to their entities, which wont be shown at any other client. so the player can decide what to show and as default your simple logo willb e shown. what is wrong about that?

Re: Costum background in entities
As I said, I'm not interested in this feature. A simple pull request would be accepted though, if anyone else wants to implement it.

^ I also think we should be able to deactivate this, if it'll got implemented by somebody.Meliodafu wrote:I personally don't care as long as you can deactivate it.

Re: Costum background in entities
lotta pros use entities, makes sense to give them the option
Re: Costum background in entities
Right. Most ddnet mappers are incapable to create nice Backgrounds.. I don't know if it is always the mapper who creates the background.. but 90% of them suck

Re: Costum background in entities
most ddnet mappers make bad backgrounds? what about... ddmax mappers?
oh trust me, nothing will beat things I saw on ddmax maps and you know now I'm experienced with it
sorry but on our servers you won't see egg-shaped sun, strange stretched clouds, background with color RGB 0 0 255 or too small mountains that end in the middle of screen, eyecancering sunrays, what happened there - and it rly hurts my eyes more than anything else - and it sucks
you don't have to make much with the bg to make it nice and simple, but you should care about the quality - what we do
so tell me what "a nice background" is? They are all ok for me
