Ping problems
I have a weird problem concerning my ping. As soon as I join a server (doesn't matter if DDNet or another) my prediciton goes up to 110. The game is extremly laggy - way more as it should with this ping. Checked following stuff:
- If I ping ger.ddnet.tw using the Windows console I get 25-30ms.
- I checked the RUS-servers --> same happens. (just with an offset, cause more distance)
- I checked it with a notebook and got 40ms on GER.
- On a LAN-server I get 12 ms, which is quite normal.
- FPS is stable and normal with V-Sync and without.
- Ofcourse I tried the newest version of the client.

Re: Ping problems
Ping in scoreboard shows you the minimum of the latencies you had within the last time interval. Pred depends on the maximum of the latencies you had over a longer time interval, but weighing older times less.
So it's possible to see low ping and high ping if your packets mostly go through fast, but are slow once every second or so. You can try disabling software firewalls, turning off other devices in the network. Try setting highest priority for UDP traffic in your router. Or your ISP is scanning some specific UDP packets, making them much slower.

Re: Ping problems
I've already tried to turn of the anti-virus software (providing the firewall); did not change anything. Also there can't be an issue with my ISP or my router, since this problem can't be reproduced on a notebook.
Furthermore it is way too laggy for the packages being only slow once a second. It is a constant lagg. All packages are delayed heavily.

Re: Ping problems
Oh, I misunderstood. It's only happening on one computer, not on any other? Try the laptop on the same LAN port as your desktop computer. Disable every software running on the computer, turn off autostart for everything, try booting in recovery mode, try reinstalling Windows.

Re: Ping problems
I found a process running in the background, which shouldn't be there. Ping seems to be fixed now. Thanks for help.
