Hook doesn't really work

Hey guys, after a break of 2 years i decided to play teeworlds again and downloaded the newest client. SInce then on my iMac with newest Updates and thingy there are some little bugs, but them are more like meh. But one thing really grinds my gears and I can't play anymore because of it.
Either my Tee doesn't hook at all or its just a really short hook. Same for Tees as Tiles. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

No my mouse works fine also playing otbher games with it

true, i mean a bit system bug behind DDrace server connections or smth.... try to reinstall your Teeworlds client but do it carefully, if you delete some files, what you dont want like "images", take that import files to an another folder and reinstall ---> delete Teeworlds folder and delete from %appdata% - roaming - Teeworlds folder too. Download the newest version of your client and place the import files to the new folder. try to open it, play it and test it this problem. i hope i could helped you :S
