Need help with background!
Need help with background!
Well, i've mapped for fun before - (until TW crashed one day and my saved maps were completely gone, all work gone >_>) and im kinda familiar with "everything" that comes with mapping... except the quads/background stuff.
I've worked on my current map already, and it's kinda big. I've watched some tutorials that were linked on ddnet.tw and followed literally EVERY STEP made in those videos, but somehow i can't seem to get it right. The background won't quite follow when i move down to where you're actually playing etc. I really have no clue and i could rip out all of my hair right now while trying to figure it out Do i have to create the background before i start mapping? Or does that matter at all? How can i get my background to FIT the game o.o Can anyone here explain or at least give me a list of BIG NO-NO'S, what to avoid under any circumstances? All i want is a nice looking generic background since that would fit the best for this map. But everything has to be so complicated, i coul'dve been done with 10 parts by now but this cr*p keeps my brain smoking
Thanks in advance!
