I'm currently working on a 5* dummy map and it has some "impossible" parts already. Many parts are extremely tricky and need a lot of creativity/knowledge/skills to be finishable. This map will suck for 99.99% of the community, but it might be a nice challenge for pros. I'm not even sure if more than 10 people are able to finish it ^^

So my question is: Would such a map even be released? Map has to be funny and entertaining seems to be important for map releases. I Just wanted to make sure...

Why don't you just make the part's more easy with tele etc? (funny to read something like this from silex (adrag 1+2, ...))
Rework a part to make it easy but still nice is not that hard.

It surely matters if it is just hard for the sake of beeing hard or if the parts are really good.

But currenlty it's pure luck anyway if you get a map released. :D

It's almost impossible to fail in the map. Furthermore the map consists of 10+ stages that aren't connected to each other, meaning that you teleport yourself from the "main menu" to the beginning of each stage. After completing a stage you will unlock 1 door. After completing all stages all doors will be opened and you have access to the final part/or finish. Basically the map doesn't really have luck based parts so far, but some might be very annoying since they are hard.

If the map comes up to your words (meaning its unfaily and creative) i would love to see it on ddnet since there are almost none hard and unfaily dummy maps and most of the other maps seem kinda similar to me.

I think if a map is this kind of hard + faily it shouldt get released, but you said its unfailable so....

tipp: To make it a bit more enjoyable, you can make it so that the focus is completely on the parts. No other distracting tiles or too big rooms.

If parts aren't faily, so it will be beaten by pro's after 10 tries.

Mithrid core an easy map, beaten with dummy first try. Only near finish i needed to exchange dummy with some random guy. Bcs it's hard to beat with dummy, but i think milk can do it.
And has near finish pure hardcore 5x edge hooks, which took for me 1 hour. :lol:
