ayy lmao— if viewing the entries of a mapping/design contest has the lowes priority for you don't even host one. Just put some server out there with every map in the vote + attach the zipped maps in your op post for those people that are willing to make the tremendous effort of downloading it. There are things and a certain feel in a teeworlds map that can't be conveyed via screencaps or video snippets and that I even have to discuss that point is ridiculous. About the permission thingy: just add a disclaimer in your post the map will be published in its submitted state (that's how like every creative contest irl handles its submissions). And yea like I said before a bunch of people shared their thoughts but you proceeded to listen to no one lol.

So you face some critism (which imo is highly constructive and not "spamming") and instead of listen all you can think of is to abandon the ship? Get a spine and grow a pair man. Otherwise you doin a good job here, just some tweaks here and there and you're good to go. Maybe even attract more people along the way. Cheers

Well spring isnt mabye the most exciting theme ive ever seen, but its decent and you can do something cool and special out of it if you want to put some time on it. Before everyone is criticising that RayB. havent taken any notes out of the last mistakes, should wait till this one is over.
Just give it a bit of time.. its not like rome was built on one day.

Spring as a theme is fine..
'thailand' theme for a skin tournament was 'Be more creative' kinda thing,
but only like 2 good skins came out of that, the rest was just lazy work.
With spring as a theme people will probably have more ideas what to do maybe some people will do the same thing,
but cmon, its a design contest=who will it map better wins.

When You will be considering another design contest, im more than happy to help You out with ideas and improvements
through PM's. And im sure there are more people like me. Either that, or just make a topic before another one, asking
for peoples opinions.
Maybe even there should be a straw poll with different themes, so it isn't strictly decided by one person.

In my opinion spring is a very decent theme since its easy enough for begginner mappers who can go even as simple as an average grass_main grass_doodads map yet it has enough room for more advanced mappers to show off a bit ;D

Somebody who already saw some of the designs told me they look great so i don't see why spring should be bad if something great comes out of it.
