StormPhönix is the one who managed the best mix of being detailed and still clear. It is a fine, decent design without spammed doodads or an annoying background.

storm phonix have weird shadows on foreground which looks like freezes, it's not very clear

So in the future you always vote for designs which just looking good even if they are not the right theme? Don't understand me wrong, nice critique but if the implementation from the theme is not the first whereupon you pay attention at it's somehow weird. Then we can directly start with 'just do a good design!' and make that contest's just boring.

edit: i love jao's design too, no question.

Its background, so yeah it should be pretty clear.

tbh design tournament is shit:
1.Not so much participatents
2.Guys did unplayable foregrounds etc.(not all sure)
3.And was accepted map with not asian theme? wtf?

Ever saw something new starting with a big amount of people? It is obvious that the first contest wont get THAT much people participating.

That's why there is a vote. And imo this contest is espacially for newbies who do that good to learn something.

also ravie's a bit non in theme but it looks just clear job
