bans are good, but I don't get one thing. Without accounts how will u know if its a botter with its own name, or he just picked other person's name to get him banned?

wont happen because its easy to check if the player was been faked for example by ip or client version

IPs are logged everywhere, just now, that you are viewing this forum, your ip is already logged, and same with 99% of the websites.

DDNet implemented a thing called teehistorian, they store every race in ddnet, without chat and votes for privacy.

Note: IPs are not stored for for prolonged periods of time and are definitely *not* stored in teehistorian.

The current name bans will last for approximately two weeks in total (for people who aren't caught cheating again), they will be lifted next tuesday, on 2018-03-27. The people who cheated will get a note on their ranks pages that they used cheats around 2018-03-12.

We don't store ip's for much time at all. In this case everyone involved was verified by hand using many different ways.

I'm glad that admins have tools to ban actual botter not just by name keep up the good work
