There is now a "Selected Maps"-category on (almost) all servers.
First of all: It is nice that someone tried to finish iMTG's original work, since I still think this is a nice idea. Players can find good maps easier and mappers get some kind of reward.
Anyway, I wonder why there are so many maps in this category on some servers and especially why there are so many bad maps in there.
On Novice, where this category existed before, some good maps have been taken out and replaced by crap maps. Why is that so?
Also I think in the case of map series it is better to put only the best 1 or 2 maps of a series to the selected maps category, so that this won't get to messy. If people like the series then they could search for the other maps easily.

Furthermore I noticed that there are many maps made by the same few mappers in this category, or said otherwise: Some mappers have (nearly) all of their maps in this category. I don't think there is any mapper who is that perfect... All in all this list seems to be extremely biased (and made by a single person, instead of a group?) I don't know, who made it, tho. Maybe you can tell us?

You forgot to explain why this is the fault from snailx3 and retarded mods/testers and why you would be the better one.

imo having selected maps in all the categories is useless just sort the maps by their difficulty and not by alphabet with the new releases still there and your problem is solved theres a search bar for names but no search bar for 3 star maps unless im in forum

I like the idea of selected maps: it can help the players to find actually good maps.

Ofcourse people have different opinions about map quality, so ofcourse any guy can go here and write "omg why are only crappy maps selected maps, I can do better".

There are some good mapper who make mostly good maps, i don't think it would be right, if "selected maps" have to be shared equally between the mapper, that would be useless.

I agree, that we should get information about who made the list and that the community should discuss about these decisions. Sadly this dicussion would be long and hard to rule (you will often only get a very few opinions about one decision, so we can't trust our data nor make "good" decisions).

I remember people complaining that hi_leute just released 2-3 good maps per week . Now you get one release a month and that's a map like rope swing lol.

The maps he released were not crap but rather boring "creative"
