I talked to deen about a year ago about donating/sponsoring for servers and I've forgotten about it since, mostly because my priority was to find a decent host first. Now that I've found a good, reliable server, with several months of playing of them now, I found it satisfactory. It's in the US and I understand that there's already a US server, but my server offers decent pings to a lot of Latin American players, while the current one offers good pings to northern Mexicans, but not so much for others.

However, I do have some concerns on performance with a lot of players being connected. I already host several servers on it, maximum 20 players which is very rare, 6-10 players for some hours per day without any problems. But I haven't done any network stress test. So I thought I might start with one DDrace, one Block, and one zCatch.

What is the minimum, for a lack of better word, amount of authentication do I need to provide? I'm actually willing to give root access, but there wasn't much info around on how to become a server sponsor, so I thought I'd ask.

Further, with the Bam update, I'm trying to get the Teerace server hosted, but I don't know how to deal with the new Bam update to compile a Teerace server. If I can help on this while DD servers are being dispatched, I would appreciate it.

Where are the server binaries for some of the DD servers? For example, I wasn't able to find zCatch that's uniquely hosted by DDNet servers and it's a great version of zCatch. May I also know who the coders are for each of the mods?

Guys, my friend and I can provide a server located in Ukraine, if needed. Machine with real IP address, 24/7 online. I think the question is: does DDNet need it, and if yes, who can help to set it running, or set it on his own.

Ukraine should have ok connection to RUS and/or GER, no? Looking at this map I would only consider a few new locations:

• Australia
• Egypt/Israel

But maybe I'm wrong and the admins have another opinion. I guess with the new database layout we could run small servers in many more locations, if that's wanted. For me the problem would rather be that as we add locations each community gets smaller, then people are forced to sometimes play on one server with ping 20, other with ping 80, and that's hard to get used to.
