I know it, so, i said in my last post:

I don't know if in the SOLO servers is possible remove the solo part.
Ah, sorry, I misunderstood you. :c But that may cause a bit confusion (because they will be on Solo server, but they won't be a Solo maps) and problems which I stated before - players not being able to distinguish both map types in votes, mixing ranks from two types of maps (each of which do not necessarily interesting for players of both categories) and voting maps of category, which don't interest all online players, more often. That's why I would rather like Gores to be in a separate category.

I guess its not possible because they have different points systems. You gain 100 points for every map on the server and you can reduce your points with finishing maps with a good rank.

Deen told me Qshar is switching to the ddnet hoster :)

But I still think a gores map category is not false, because:
  • These maps don't belong to brutal, medium etc.
 It is nice to have a gores ranking category.
 DDnet Points are motivating, I don't rly care about points or finish on kog Server.
 If 30 players (which is always the case on Kog) play a map I don't want to play, I just go on an other ddnet Server and switch to it. On Kog you can just wait for a mapchange to happen which is annoying.
Arguments why gores is nothing bad to have on ddnet:
  • Best art of training to get hooking skills.
 It basically is ddrace with limited features

Kog community wont get destroyed as long as ddnet doesn't take their maps.

Maybe we could assign different map points values for DDNet and KoG ranks. ^^

Thank you all for your attention to my servers.

With all the respect to DDNet community, I'm really glad to hear you like it.

I have a direct skype contact of deen and I'm discussing potential cooperation.

Meanwhile, it is true that we are moving to the better hosting now. This month my previous hosting had some issues. New network connection and hardware will be much better, so I hope there will be no lags for players.

Bossk,
On February 6-th We are planning to open one more server with the same maps that are on the MAIN server. It is true that when we have many players it is hard to change map if someone far. We discussed it with KoG members, came to this conclusion and will open new server soon.

Considering points system:
Fifi, we changed points system 1-2 months ago.
You can see the details on our page http://www.qshar.com .

Briefly, now it is:

Your Total Points = Fixed Points + Season Points.

Fixed Points is the same as yours on DDNet:
- When you finish the map FIRST time you earn Fixed Points.
- Fixed points are always the same and they never reduce!

How can you earn Season Points:
- When you finish the map AGAIN you earn the same amount of Season Points.
- You can earn more Season Points in Tournaments and Events.
- Each day there is an event on a random map and it gives double amount of Season Points for finishing it.
- Each day you LOOSE 5 Season Points, but you can't get below 0.

QshaR, thank you (and FlipLipp & all the others) for your amazing gores servers :3
You do a great job and I love to play there.

Let's hope we can find a good solution for both sides. I would love to see a fair cooperation between KoG and ddnet (:

The main reason i play Gores isn't to finish, i play it because its fun. Only sometimes on easyer maps i really want to finish. So may we kan take qshar servers for fun, and ddnet servers for points. Btw, whenever i come to the qshar server there are like 5-7 afk's, they are there the whole day and own a slot. The servers were never full but they got more players the last time.

Hm, I thought about it for a long time. I wanted to host QshaR internationally on the DDNet servers, but now I still decided against it. There are many reasons, but in the end it boils down to this:

It's a lot of work to setup, would require to shut down a few DDNet servers, and is pretty complex to run alongside DDNet. I just don't want to deal with running another kind of complex server network. Sorry about all the confusion with this.

If there are some really good Gores maps you want on DDNet (we already have 8), use the regular map releasing process to get them released. I don't expect this to happen, but if many Gores maps are released and played, we may move them to a separate category.
