Adding a gores server to DDNet has been suggested many times. Do you think we should add one? So far my arguments against it were:

1. There is already a popular Gores server, which seems to be reasonably run by QshaR & FlipLipp
2. Gores are boring and we want to have more interesting maps

Any comments?

Meanwhile new DDRace maps are like gores maps.
Mostly there are no new parts.
So i bet i'm not alone when i say the new DDRacemaps are boring.
Ofc this is no reason to add a gore server...i just want to weak your argument against a gores server.

2.Yes, you are right, there is already a popular gores server.
DDnet has many players who like gores maps. Often i see some of them on Qshars server.
Gores on DDnet would be more attractive, because you could /save on long maps (idk if there are already very long gores maps, but you could map them if there would be a gores server),you have timeout protection, you would get something for your finish (gores would become more attractive to point addicted people like BooNi) and use all other ddnet stuff i forgot.

For me gores aren't boring.
You can play hard maps with more people -> funnier
You can drag someone through the map.----> *
Play map backwards after finish. *---> Skill rises!

So vote Yes!

For this reason only, I voted no.

And I could say too that gores could be an independent mode of teeworlds, cause it's not really ddrace.

Gores is awesome for beginners because usually all these lords of egoism want to do every part and the noobs don't even get the chance to try. But why should it need a server?

Gores is not really boring because it makes fun to play long, nice maps with a group.

So if we added, say 20 Gores maps, should we just mix them into Novice, Moderate, Brutal and Oldschool?

Yes! Do that. And if it doesn't say in the map title, add a little info that it is a gores map.

Yes, 20 is to much.

People who like to play so many Gores maps should go on the Gores server.

5 is enough for people who just want to play a short round gores.

We still have 2 Gores maps in oldschool. So we need maps in Novice und Moderate. Maybe 3 for Novice and 2 for Moderate?

I completely agree with hi_leute_gll (:
We should not add a new server but rather mix a few gores maps into the current novice and moderate servers.
