Imagine we released DDNet on Steam and our population got 2x bigger. We wouldn't be able to handle that would we??
We would need more servers, properly even better once since the ddosing is proberly gonna be worse than it is now.
Idno if you got any plans for the future, if you want more people to come to teeworlds or let it be as it is now?
incase we one day do release it on steam we really need a tutorial as you said, and even though you think its too late, honestly we need an account system.
I know forcing people to use steam is shit, but it would be easy that we could connect the accounts with steam, insted of typing /login aoe password every time you join a server. And is that even possible anyways? Unless someone has other ideas?
How can we prepare ourselves to be ready for more players? do we got enough novice maps? are they too hard? we might need a server for compleat beginners, my idea is gores maps with teleport & very short and easy to finish ddraces that gives a few points to make people feel they accomplished something. (that means we might have to boost the current servers points a little)
And we need a good tutorial map with a little mix of everything. Would be awesome if there could be a deep dummy spawned when you join the tutorial, that you could drag through the map :D?
Anyways its incredible what you've done for DDNet Deen, very much appriciated

We have not enough easy novice map, they are all way to hard for complete beginners. You can't start playing ddnet as it is right now but need to start with another gametype.

Good idea.

I started mapping a proof of concept tutorial map but soon realized that no beginner was able to play it, it's a real challange if not impossible to create a ddrace map that is playable for complete beginners with their dummy (or deep dummy).

EDIT: Check out this thread for thoughts and some small achievements regarding a ddnet tutorial for complete beginners, feel free to make suggestions or contributions there: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3771&start=10&hilit=ddrace+tutorial

It was cool to read about ddnet history :D and think that we are part of something that started being so small... Thanks for all the hard work Deen!
