I really dont see aaa, Soeru, east or other admins, moderator write here... So it is easy to think ddnet has got only 1 admin.

Since the thread is messed up with much bullshit and it is impossible to pick the useful posts out, we are not going to do much posts here and also tell our "supporters" to better stay out. We can just loose here, also cause real arguments are often ignored by haters.

Some people got bans, cause they are insulting all the time and ignore our rules. We don't delete posts which just contain opinions, even if they might be not the smartest ones. But if people are presenting their opinions with many insulting and not fair posts, we delete them and also give warnings to them. Some people are collecting warnings like stamps, so they get bans. And some of them even try to evade bans, so we make these bans longer.

At least we didnt see any kind of clarification from admin group. I mean pure arguments. Problem is still here.
This time being, i already have got 5 bans. It is pretty funny situation. I dont care about forum so much for feeling bad about those bans.
Anyway, my humble opinion still same. If you want get big issues in any community - lets kids driving it.
I dont want insult anybody or stuff like that. Just fact from experience.
My suggestion is just replace main admin to another who have got more experience at humans interaction.

If you cannot take some criticism you should not be a "public" person.

As i said once, in real life u cant "ban" ppl while discussing, u must give an arguments. The sooner you'll understand this the easier it will to resolve misunderstandings. Does it have to be this way?

I just put this here, because maybe someone only watch this topic.

We just see bad things we get 15 maps a month before we got 40 maps a month and there isnt a big diffrence in map quality its not noticeable

Ofc the quality of the best maps won't change, they are already the best maps. But we just cutted of the crap, so that the average quality is higher now.
Our goal was to give good maps more attention and to don't overwhelm the players and this worked really great.
Maps like Nostalgia or Hookthrough 3 were played very much, they probably wouldn't if there would have been 5 releases directly after them. Also some older - kinda forgotten - maps were played. There is often a good filled DDmaX-server playing good old maps, or maps which were released months ago are getting finally full servers now. Also people are not longer sitting there, asking: "Which 3 of this 10 maps released this week I can play now?" The other 7 are just not released.
All in all we reached what we wanted to reach and it worked very well, even most Tester understood this and started to decline boring maps - well...at least until some guy here got a bit crazy.

Btw: For me it is interesting that mostly people who aren't playing much and/or have not much points are complaining about this, while even these people would have enough to play. If a milk or Bumm would say that they haven't enough maps, I could understand this, but I can't really understand this if people who are playing once a week complain that they haven't enough maps, since these 3 maps are still more than they could play then.

And we didnt get a tournament in the time we all love tournaments we all play together 300 people playing or cheering for the best team

If you have the knowledge and the time to do tournaments just give us a call and we can do one.

The reason why nothing has been changed in the topics In-Game Mods and Development is firstly that .me' is inactive (in the admin-group), so that we others have to do his tasks additionally and haven't free ressources to do improvements here and secondly that the technic guys just don't do a client-release, while we other admins have no idea why. But you can follow the updates on our Github and download our nightly builds.


PS: Such things like the open/closed test server or the forum restructure should be visible for you (I hope).

This. Here only 4-5 mappers who produce good REPLAYABLE maps. Others didnt get what means gameplay at all. Mb they didnt reach 8 years old or may be they born w lacking brain.
