Did deen leave because he didn't care? Or because he did care? I don't think you can assume the players, who are the ones with the most hours into ddnet, somehow secretly hate their own community. We believe the current ddnet staff is being influenced in a bad way by some. We thinking kicking more level headed admins like Welf for no good reason is unfair. The "admins" making all the decisions hardly play at all anymore for all I know. I don't think the proper way to listen to feedback is just to say "screw it I won't cry for you."
Broken, you can't tell me seriously that this has been a constructive feedback. If THIS is the reputation then my answer is "screw it I won't cry for you.". I'm always there for discussions, but this is pointless.

The other points you mentioned don't fit into this discussion. Deen had different reasons to stop with DDNet. He wanted it perfect or offline, I think it shows that he cared about it. All-of-nothing-principle.

The status of Welf is completely wrong here. I don't think we need public statements for every staff decision we make.

I don't know what is the problem with Leute but I can understand both side of this argument. As a player, Aoe gained my respect, I saw his map and his video and he look cool to me. But every day I have to wake up and live with people I dislike. You don't choose your classmate or your boss in real life but you have to keep going so. Leaving for only this isnt mature at all in my opinion. Maybe wait&see if this guy abusing his power.

hi_leute will do a good job. He just needs someone who tells him when he's going all emotional and who stops him from doing something stupid then. That can be onionime's job.
