I hope this discussion leads to an useful result. For me the only real fair solution is to see this as a (in your eyes) made fault and to don't release any other ddmax maps, or the second solution is release more of them and mark them clearly visible as DDMax maps with lower creativity quality.

I just mentioned DDmaX map in the statement as an exampe. Of course there are several GOOD DDmaX maps i liked and still like to play as well. I just used the synonym of "DDmaX" for rather uncreative maps that have only standard parts without any creative influence. Of course the interpretation of "creative" could be different, but it will be up to our new founded group for this to find strict guidelines here. As i said, every map gets the same chance! Our aim is just to seperate the worse maps. Right now we are trying to find a good solution here, by thinking about the consequences of our decisions.

So there is a chance to apply for any position you currently have? E.g. I can still apply for helping out in the technical sector? Or will this be restricted to non-technical staff?
We will first try to find a solution here internal. If we will need a bigger staff for handling all mentioned tasks we will let the community know that!

I'm sorry, but in such a huge discussion it is almost impossible to discuss every aspect with the community. There would be jsut stagnation instead of improvement. In this points you should trust us, that we are going to find the best possible solution for the community!

I like ddmax more ,

I think if a map is too hard for some people like 2long (i like this map) it should get more points not less. I think its a good challenge

If you are talking about new maps you made - post them in "Map Testing". :? :lol:

2long is a good example for a 0 points map ^^

i don't know if you understand the game, but that map is not really enjoyable (only for a few players maybe), so it shouldn't be supported with points. we don't want to force point hunters with annoying maps.

The idea: If you want to play a 'bad' map, do it for the fun and not for the points.

edit: there are also maps, which are impossible for some players (e.g. deepfly or dummyfly maps)

I play 7 years 10h/day i think i know very much about it. All hard challenges are annoying for not good enaugh people
But think about

If that map is 24 points only the players who are good enaugh for it would try it! And you see not that annoying map anymore.

We should not support crying people
We should support challengers
They would not cry (be annoyed) if the map is easier , 2long is a hard map only 12 points unreal but whatever

I understand you , thats my meaning ;
Choice the best solution for your way of what ddnet should be.
