DDNet Shutdown - What Now?

• DDNet will shutdown at October 1
• There is a "Group" working on a solution after DDRaceNetwork

But what about the forum and the website, how long will this kept online. When will it disappear exactly?

So all your administrators / moderators are uncapable to do that? are they that uselesse? i don't think that..

They're useful for other tasks, but this is the main task I still have and they don't have Linux/system administration/development knowledge.

I can help them too from time to time (I don't want to offer my full-time help, cause I'm not really an organised person and I'm often busy), as I'm also somebody capable of doing the stuff from DDNet scripts. If you wanna work less with/for ddnet after the trip im sure that wont be that kind of a problem too, ddnet wasnt all just tournaments so i dont see any points in keeping tournaments running if no one is interested or willing to organize them well enough etc.

I want to spend 0 more time on DDNet. I tried to give away tasks to the admins, but people still spam me with questions and requests, servers still have problems, and I still end up spending way too much time on DDNet every day.

So, If the current administrators (or them and some new people) are capable of maintaining the current version online, please let them do so - even if we'll have some time without any updates, it's still sufficient for the most of us. And I'm sure we'll be happy to have this instead of a complete shutdown or creating a new project without ranks, this wonderful site, forum, &c. As you have said - creating something from nothingness, when we have such a wonderful code and player base, doesn't make any sense at all, so please help us this last time and allow us to gradually shift the responsibilities instead of building them again. I'm sure people will be happy with DDNet still working, even if the quality would be lower for some time, so please just give us some more time.

The current admins seem more interested in running their own servers, which is still their plan instead of keeping DDNet running. Sure, if someone trustworthy with time and the right capabilities comes along, DDNet could keep running. But the admins were already the best people I could find, so no idea what to do now.

Hey deen, you just can't stop DDNet, everyone will be oversad, and it's just would bulshit.
I think ppl don't care about quality of DDNet, i mean, it's ok if it's not perfect, but we all need to play on the amazing maps we gave to you, and amazing servers that you give us.
Please, don't do shit deen, seriously...
I'm sorry about my english by the way, but please deen, we all need DDNet, or teeworlds won't be teeworlds how we like it.

If deen says he won't do anything for DDNet anymore then it's his decision and i really can understand it. Why should someone mortgage his future just for a game? people need a mod, like ddrace that deen making the offical servers. so people can play free
players dont know any programming languages, and just having fun.
deen is like a hero, making free servers for players that dont know anything and dont donate anything.
he need money, he added more things like tournoments and ... that its too hard to handle them

what i think to do >

stop tournoments. OR make LOCAL tournoments that LOCAL admins handle them
lower the costs

I met soo many lovely people here <333 I'm just happy to spent 32535 days (and nights lol) on these awesome servers playing beautiful maps with people I would definitely miss now.

deen, i rly appreciate your work, you gave me a lot of fun (men, rly, you gave me more than 1000 hours of fun, i couldnt never pay that)
So, have a fun life with your study, you already did much for us

Anyway, thank you for maintaining DDNet all this time and investing so much money and effort in it. We won't forget how wonderful community you've created. ^^
