Well, best software for creating skins should be Photoshop...but it costs money. So you can try out some free softwares - such as GIMP 2, Inkscape or Paint...

Afaik Photoshop is not a good solution because its just like GIMP not a vector manipulation software. So I thought Inkscape is the best way to create skins.

I Like Illustrator by Adobe... but yeah its not free.

Maybe try to make that picture bigger. But then bring the size back.

You can also try to set the dpi up (150 should be enough). Then you have more pixels i 1 inch.

I would love some good active skin makers. There was no skin like "the classics" in the last 1,5 years. Maybe you could show me how to do them, Vasten?

Imo Inkscape is the best free tool to do so, however you could also ask forsaken.
