ye I don't play dm/ctf so I don't care about gameplay, FPS
it's for looking at it, not playing! ^^
I'm just trying whats possible with the images.
I don't understand whats wrong with ninja. First I wanted to add 'shadows' only for hearts and shields. But deen wanted it for weapons too. Idk.

Hmm I think you're right about the emotes. I made them when I didn't have the 'extra ground around the real ground' so it looked better.

But thank you, nice to know what others think.

Hey,
I'm interested in how you got the subquads from the emoticons. Is this some built-in feature in the ddnet client?
Couldn't get it working by myself when fiddling around in the editor (:

My guess would be clipping, which works in Vanilla client as well.

Nope.
I drag the right lower corner holding Shift to stretch the image - it gave me the first emote.
When I had the right size I marked all corners (with Shift) and I could move whole image and centre other emotes by dragin one red point (holding Shift ofc).

I spent 3 last days on making this map.
All other maps were just tests what's possible with Images, how it looks and I tried to use many tricks and unusual ways to do decoration and I just put random stuff.

This time I decided to make a theme map: mine (ok no, this idea came during map-making).
I just added a lot of normal doodads, didn't make many animations.
I don't think this map is good for playing because of too-many-stuff-on-the-ground-that-disturb.
But I never meant to make a playable map ^^. Maybe somedaaaay.
I think I should make something bright and girly next time. But I'm afraid there are only this big maps left.

Please note:
Colorful crystals made of this ninja-effect. They are shiny. The best thing in this map haha.
Small water drops falling from the ceilings.
Shadows behind the platforms. Not really realistic but hey, like whole game.
A broken lamp right on the wall.

Take a closer look:

Hmm I was thinking about posting these maps on tw forum. Without dm9 - it's ugly. I could be more famous, yeah. Nono, it's about inspiring you guys.
As always - groups, layers and envelopes have clear names so you can find and understand everything if you are curious.

Thanks, I will keep 'mapping' whether you like it or not. Because I love it.

Very cool! So much detail and the sparkles are great. Uploaded on our Vanilla servers.

Kobra maps are our trademark so I thought Tournament with new Kobra 3 needs something special:

It starts with a countdown. I used dice-numbers. I knew I will make something related to the game Snake (didn't know what exactly, yet) so I wanted to make more simple gaming stuff. A rainbow dice. Rainbow is MY trademark!
Then you can see 3 Kobra logos with their backgrounds.
Theeen someone types "have fun'. Pretty boring slow typing.
And the best part: few snakes come from nowhere, making chaos and finally forming "Kobra"! There was no place for "3". But I tried.
Whole time you can see DDNet watermark down there and the pretty black background.

Hope you like it!
I do.
