Stronghold

Basically the bug is the whole first part.
Making a hh part as first part without filtering people before results in a block festival. Half of the people there are afk or too bad for the map. Thus it is pure luck wether you pass the part or not.

Before you make such a skill-based part you firstly need to map another part filtering out too bad people, not allowing to throw afk players into it and making sure people aren't running in it in huge groups. (Or just map such a part later in the map...)

Would be really great if DDNet would finally start testing their maps for gameplay issues. Thanks.

If you really keep an eye on things like this then you could post much more 'Bugs' from other maps in the forum. Everyone is totally ok with this first part, it's actually pretty funny. And if theres really someone who blocks active -> kick or team (that was never a big problem). If this part is so bad why really much people playing the map atm? Sorry i can't agree with you this time.

Kick is impossible on DDNet. Team neither helps, since it is after the start-line. And well...I haven't fun if it takes half an hour to pass the first part, just cause having bad luck.

And yes I have an eye on this...that's why certain maps have a way better gameplay feeling than others.

Cause the map style is what makes most fun in DDrace and sadly these kind of maps became pretty rare. So ofc people are happy if there are these single maps of that style. But if there are just like 5 maps a year in this style you have to take what you get. :D Grandpa is also mapped pretty badly and people played it much, cause they liked the style.
But this isn't really a reason to release boring copy & paste maps which are done in like 3 hours. This way the amount of good maps will decrease more and more.

If you really need half and hour it's really bad luck. Even if it is just a copy & paste map it works and people like it but that's just another old big discussion.
Well the good thing about this topic is that you just gave me a reason to make a map in this style. The bad thing is that you will hate it maybe too haha.

So you think out of castle 1'st part is map bug aswell?

if you dump 64 players in any map its gonna be filled up of cause. but thats why they should go team or find an empty server.

It might be annoying sometimes to play this part in team0 with many unexperienced players.
But there are many other maps like this and personally I like them a lot. You can always join a team, find a skilled player in team0 and just hf above all the other tees or have some fun with boats and mass tees on the ground :3

So, yea I kinda understand you but I don't think that's a gameplay issue at all. The majority enjoy the map, so we won't change anything.
