Re: Lockdown
And you can only see the Lavakill if you turned Quads on.
This is fcking shit by the mappers, because its not fair.
Quads should only be tiles that are not important for understanding map.
Why the fck this release? Such extreme bugs ...
And its never 3*

Re: Lockdown
Omg just stop bitching around. All 3 mappers put weeks of work in this map and the first thing happens is, that people in the forum, especially staff and ex-staff members start complaining. Lockdown is one of the best maps on DDNet by now, and i see no comments, which nearly start in this way: "Nice map, but I found some bugs", just mostly noob players cursing around, that there are bugs in the map. If you map on a big project it's normal, that not everything can be seen! Good job, you found those bugs and fixed, them! BUT there is no matter to flame mappers and testers, that created such a nice map. Just fix this shit and its done. No wonder, why there is always beef here...
Aoe, Spyker & Trax belong to the players, that make the most fun maps and especially Trax is a damn nice designer! With flaming like this, you just offend them, and they start to get angry. You always start with a positive feedback if you can see the huge amount of work they put into it. If go on like this, they might stop mapping someday in the worst case and then the amount of shit maps is going to rise.

Re: Lockdown
Yes, the map is good, it deserves being a tournament, but that doesn't give them the rights to skip the testing phase, it's a tournament map, that should be more than obvious right?. But now seriously, how you missed more than 5 unused tiles sets?Forris wrote:Omg just stop bitching around. Again, the map is good. but some test would actually be good.
Please upload the fixed version.
Common map problemsShow
Common problems
These problems are in many maps, make sure to check for them before you submit your map:
Every image you included in your map is actually used. (used images are green)
Correct images are embedded into your map. These images are included with every Teeworlds client and therefore do not need to be embedded:
bg_cloud1, bg_cloud2, bg_cloud3, desert_doodads, desert_main, desert_mountains, desert_mountains2, desert_sun, generic_deathtiles, generic_unhookable, grass_doodads, grass_main, jungle_background, jungle_deathtiles, jungle_doodads, jungle_main, jungle_midground, jungle_unhookables, moon, mountains, snow, stars, sun, winter_doodads, winter_main, winter_mountains, winter_mountains2, winter_mountains3
All other images must be embedded.
Layers should not be too big. Big game layers (game, front, tele, speedup, switch, tune) use up resources on servers. All big layers use up resources on clients. When your map is finished make the layers as small as possible. (but don't cut off any part)
You may want to mark some layers as detail-layers, so that players who prefer to play minimalistically have the choice to do so (HD off). Some graphics cards are too weak for HD on some maps.
Make sure there are no empty layers and groups.
The background needs to be big enough for all screen sizes. Use the "Proof" button in the editor to check what players will see.
Don't place teleporter destination tiles directly on the ground. When two players are teleported, the second one is violently thrown away.
Red teleporters are mostly better than blue ones, because they stop your movement and cut your hook. Only use blue teleporters when you need them.
Don't place teleporter on the finish line, especially if that means a player may be left behind without finishing

Re: Lockdown
That doesn't make them be allowed to omit rules that apply to mappers, they are not f*ckin Mapping-VIPs even if for some they are on top of list of best mappers. "Experienced"? Rather no longer. "Famous" Surely even more. "Trustable"? Way less if at all.
Moreover, even though this topic exists, as far as I know, none of them moved damn ass to fix anything - and with that, they will be lucky if I won't remove this map from servers, since it's just a shame.
@Forris: Sure that not everything can be seen, but not going to pretend they left their eyeballs on picnic after celebrating finishing map that just from posted screenshot should lay under "testing process" for at least several more days.

Re: Lockdown
Aoe is an old and experienced mapper with lot of great feedback, that makes him inattentive.
Spyker is also quite experienced mapper, but we know the story of Deser Wolf.
Trax is quite new and he doesnt have that much experience with editor.
After all. Map was cool, tournament was also well made and prepared. Unfortunatelly some bugs caused few fails.
