HDP solo maps by El Futuro

Hey,
so here are only a few of them. I examined all the HDP solo maps that are currently hosted by ddpro.net and choosed the eight best ones. Of course that's just my personal taste and all the others may be as good or even better than those I chose. But well, here they are with a quick comment on what I changed:
1) HDP_Concurso2

• Changed the size of the background quad and fixed the clouds
• Added solo tiles at the start

2) HDP_MiniRace3

• added solo tiles at the start

3) HDP_OnOff

• changed the starting area a little bit

4.1) HDP_Gajos1

• removed some random teles
• deleted hidden rooms
• fixed start area

4.2) HDP_Gajos4

• removed some random teles
• fixed finish, added solo at the start

4.3) HDP_Gajos5

• fixed start area

4.4) HDP_Gajos 8

• fixed start area

4.4) HDP_Gajos 9

• fixed some wrong placed tiles
• added solo at the start

More maps like run25 and HDP 2 would be awesome, always missed such maps

Hey,
so unfortunately the only HDP solo map that is similar to the two you mentioned is run_gay25. And that's just a very hard version of the normal run_guy. Of course there might be more HDP solo maps somewhere but they are not hosted at ddpro.net, so I can't get them.

i think gores maps get boring too fast, so do 10 seconds maps.. it's fun for some players to compete on it but a map shouldn't be uploaded for 5 players
also run_gay was submitted long ago but from what i remember it was judged too lame/annoying (which i agree) to be on the server

hdp_gemas1/2/3 are nice maps from what i recall (2 players maps)

Hey,
I agree with you aaa, gores and really short maps are relatively boring after a short time. In summary it can be said therefore that all the HDP solo parts are not that good for ddnet after all and even releasing the eight I uploaded might be wrong. We should think about releasing one short map and one gores map.

Concerning the other HDP maps (2 and 3 players) - I quickly browsed through the like 30 maps hosted by ddpro.net and think the following ones are kinda good:
DeepFreeze
Enyugado
Freeze1.2 - 4.2
Hardcore
Para3
Obstaculus
Zinderencio
Gemas1 - 3
But please note that I do not want to rework them for ddnet, since I dont even know how some parts work etc. :p

I think 10 sec maps don't get boring that fast. It depends on the map and I think many people would like to experience in how far they can save time with good and strategical moves. If there are maps that are boring then it's the maps which are impossible for 99.9% of the community, even though they are save (you guys know what maps I'm talking about :p).

Would the map which equals gores end up on the solo or the oldschool server; is it with tele or not? Because I think that many people, especially beginners kinda like to play such maps

Oh! Didn't know somebody host these maps in nowadays.
Anyway, I vote for HDP_NoSolo (not solo map) and for hard version of run_guy25 - HDP_run_gay25v2.

so the Gajos maps are quite nice old solo maps

Gajos 1 and 4 i suggest to put in novice though because they got more of a gores character (nov1 i guess)

Gajos 5, 8 and 9 fit more into the solo servers i guess (solo 2-3)


HDP OnOff is an awesome map... nice idea with those "switches"
