What's with RUS servers?

Hi there!
Servers are unavailable several days. Are them under attack or it's decision of DDNet admins?
Could I join some servers as a DDNet servers in [RUS] domain by my own? Is there default config for such servers available?

Unfortunately our RUS servers have been under strong DoS attacks continuously for the last few days. As a consequence the hoster is blocking all traffic, including legitimate players. I am trying to resolve the problem with them, meanwhile you can try playing on other close-by servers like NLD and GER2 which are (slightly) less affected.

Thanks a lot for the answer and for your efforts on fixing the problem.

And what about another part of question? Is there any way to deploy some official DDNet RUS servers in different location by 3rdparty like me?

No, only the DDNet team can run official servers. If you can recommend us a better hoster, we can look into that.

I'm using selectel several years. It looks like quite similar to hetzner, and also has some "cloudy" things. There are cpu line for virtual servers and chip core line for dedicated, both of them seems to be suitable for projects like ddnet. There is DDoS protection service, but I'm not shure how it would work with non web services. It has different locations. There is great support team. But I haven't tried RS-Media, it looks like noname for me just like VDsina (vdsina is not bad, but doesn't look scalable for now, could be nice choice for small project with whole things hand-made, including ddos protection).

Selectel looks seriously expensive:

That's 60 €.
I'll try vdsina
