Re: Getting DDNet released on Steam
I feel like we are a part of the Teeworlds community DD has become so dominant to the point where you should consider it reversed. The Teeworlds community is part of DD community. I cringe everytime I see deens broadcast about "DDNet Steam Greenlight". Like... we can't just be happy that ...

Make "ping" consistent--server list menu ping, scoreboard ping, f1 ping
The three pings are different: server list menu ping, scoreboard ping, and f1 "ping" command. People kept telling me that the scoreboard ping is actually this and f1 ping is actually that, but ping has a strict definition of what it is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ping_%28networking_util...

Re: Getting DDNet released on Steam
Ugh it's the anti-DD client crowd from teeworlds.com.
Shouldn't've posted there, though we wouldn't know what kind of reaction we would have gotten.

Re: SDL2 client version
Spanish éáóúí doesn't work.
German no problem.
Korean just shows up as rectangles. (No font obv)
Japanese typing just crashes. (Something more than missing font)
How about being able to select text in the console with the mouse?
Amazing update BTW. Future of TW rests on DD.

Suggestions: Client's menu
I have suggestions. The in-game menu is poorly designed. I have suggestions on improving it. For example, "Game" menu is just four buttons and huge empty space. I suggest merging "Players" menu into it. http://i.imgur.com/T0clHfS.png http://i.imgur.com/Q25iFXi.png This merging ca...

Re: Getting DDNet released on Steam
When it does get into Steam, you should make an announcement in the news for people to join the group chat in Steam. Nobody uses the IRC chat but everybody will use the Steam chat. Would be a nice welcoming hub for the new players I think.

Re: Getting DDNet released on Steam
I personally don't play DD, but I think DD should be the official client simply because it's more fit to be in terms of player base, features/functions, fixes/optimizations, etc. Overall, this is a step to the right direction. I'm sure it will get greenlit since most TW players are DD players anyway...
