DDNet client should work on Mac. I know people had this problem before and I think this was how we fixed it.
Alternatively, gfx_threaded_old 0 and gfx_asyncrender_old 0, then restart client.

Imagine DDNet had this kind of fake protection. You would never have heard about it as a new player, you just come on the server and start playing after all. After some time someone decides he likes your name, and will just register it, so you can't use it anymore. I think this causes more problems ...
